How To Check Laptop / PC Hardware ID ?

1) What is Hardware ID???
    Ans : It's the Hardware Identification Number.
             It's unique and specific for that model only.

2) Why should we even bother to check the hardware ID???
     Ans : Because, Hardware ID can determine which
     driver we need to install in order to make that
     hardware running.

How to check??? 

Note: This guide is made under Windows 7 OS. Should be the same with Win XP OS.

Procedure
Open Device Manager (Windows Button + R) then type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter. You should see Device Manager Windows as shown below.

Manual(Force) Driver Installation in Windows 7

Procedure :

1) Download and Extract the driver files.
    1.1) If the driver files is RAR, extract it wherever you want(Recommended : Desktop)
    1.2) If the driver files is exe, Run it(Double Click) and the driver will be placed in c:\swsetup\

2) Open Device Manager(Windows Button + R) then type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter.

3) Right Click on audio device that have yellow "!" mark > Update Driver,

4) Browse My Computer for Device Driver software.

5) Let me pick from a list of devices driver in my computer, NEXT.

6) Select Have Disk, browse to the driver that you've extract earlier in step 1.1 or 1.2. select the inf files.

7) Continue with the Instruction.

Slipstream Service Pack 3 into Windows XP Installation Disc

Requirement : 
1) nLite Software - Download
2) A copy of Windows XP (Pirated or non pirated - Preferably Genuine)
3) Latest Service Pack (Service Pack 3 for Windows XP) - Download HERE - English Version


Procedure : 
Part 1 :
1) First thing you need to do is Copy the content of Windows XP CD into a Folder in Desktop
    (To make your life easier).
2) Download and Install nLite to your computer.
3) Download the Service Pack 3 from the link given above. (File Size = 316MB)

Part 2 :
Follow the screenshot below. Note : I'm using Windows 7 while doing this process.

Repair Corrupted Rar File

No one will not feel frustrated when the rar file that they download appear to be corrupted right? Moreover if the file need to be combine with other rar file. These case always happen when you are downloading games installer from the internet. Computer games usually have 80 or more part. These file need several hours to complete depending on your internet speed.

For me, my average download speed is 150kbps-300kbps which is consider very slow in other country. To download such number of files required several minutes / hours. Maybe 10 Hours straight download if i'm lucky. The thing is, sometimes, some part may be corrupted and this is unfair to us(the downloader). I've been through this corrupted things several times.  Is there any way to fix this corrupted rar file?

How to perform Force(Manual) Driver Installation

Manual(Force) Driver Installation(Audio Driver) :

Procedure : 

1) Open Device Manager(Windows Button + R) then type "devmgmt.msc" and Press Enter.

2) Right click "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" > Update Driver.

4) No to connect, Install from a list or specific location,

5) Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,

6) For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'

7) Uncheck the "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".

8) Browse to C:\SWsetup\sp41500\ and choose the inf file. (the INF file may not be the same as this guide

    but mostly its name is sthda.INF. 

Note : SP4150 may be varies according to what driver you have.

9) Ignore the Warning Message by windows. Follow instruction.

10) Reboot.

Compaq Presario V2414NR Windows 7 Sound Driver (Fix No Sound)

Audio Driver for Compaq Presario V2414NR (Win 7) :

Conexant CX20468-31 AC97

Part 1 : Try Update the driver.

1) Open Device Manager (Windows Button + R) then type "devmgmt.msc" and Press Enter.

2) Right Click on the Audio Driver(with yellow "!"). Right Click > Update Driver Software

3) Don't Search for Driver Online, select Manually Install Driver > select Don't search I will choose the

    driver to install. Browse to c:\swsetup\sp30399

4) Highlight sp30399 and click Open. Follow the instruction.

Compaq Presario V2335US Compatible WDDM Graphics Driver for Window 7

Laptop Model : Compaq Presario V2000 Series (EC155UA#ABA)

Hardware ID   : 0x8086 - 0x2592 PCI

There's no WDDM for the driver. but you can try this method below :

1) Download original Driver for Windows XP : 

    Download 

2) Run it. You will see error. Ignore it, our main purpose is to get the driver file extracted in  

    C:\SWsetup\sp32127
3) Open Device Manager (Windows Button + R) type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

4) Right click on the Standard VGA or Video Adapter and select Update Driver.

5) Select Browse My Computer for driver software.

6) Select Don't Search I Will Choose The Driver, NEXT

7) Click Have Disk, Browse and point to the driver you extracted earlier and select ialmnt5.inf and

    follow the instruction.

Fix Code Error 10

What Microsoft says about Code Error 10?

If the device has a FailReasonString value in its hardware key, that string is displayed as the error message. The driver or enumerator puts this registry string value there. If there is no FailReasonString in the hardware key, you receive the following error message:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

What cause this error? 

1) Incompatible, outdated, or corrupted device drivers

2) Collations in the memory allocations of the hardware devices. Or,

3) It could happen because of in complete uninstallation.

Solution :

1) Update/reinstall your driver.

    1.1) Here are solution for those with Realtek AC97 Audio Hardware.

           You need to install the Realtek AC97 Driver

           Vista Driver - Download Page 

2) Make sure you make a backup of files you delete in step 2(Simply copy the file you want to delete to 

    another directories in case something bad happen. For example, copy and paste the file on your desktop

    so if there's unexpected error, you can just move the file back into c:windows/system32.

    2.1) Open system32 folder and delete 3 line from bottom and install your driver again.

           Open C: > Windows > System32 or Open Run windows(Windows button + r) and type 

           "c:windows/system32" and press enter.

Note : Solution 2 is reported to solve this issue for windows XP. Tell me if it works on other windows.

As you can see, various hardware may encounter this ERROR Code 10, so, I'd be glad if some of you who found a fix for your  own hardware which is not listed here to post it in comment section. This could help many of our friends out there.

Inside the RAR file there is an audio patch and devcon patch file. Devcon file will solve issue with KB835221 (missing PnP function id). Follow the procedure below.

1. Install MS-UAA for HD Audio first and restart.
2. Install IDT High Definition Audio Codecs.
3. If "New Hardware Found" Windows doesn't appear install Hotfix kb888111.exe
4. If the “Found New Hardwrae” already appear, choose:

1) “Install from a list or specific location (Advance)”

2) click NEXT and select, “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install”

3) click NEXT and select “Sound, Video and Game Controllers”

4) click NEXT and browse to “C:\SWSetup\SP39671\WDM\WinXP” and select

    “STHDA.INF”,

5) click OK and and PROCEED.

5. Install HDMI. - for AMD model only

6)  "Found New Hardware" windows should appear, select UPDATE and select Specific

      Location, NEXT, Dont Choose, NEXT, All Drivers, NEXT, browse to

      “C:\SWSetup\sp39545” and select “Intel(R) High Definition Audio HDMI”, the sound

      Should be working now.

Fix Freezing(Not Responding) Mozilla Firefox

Hi guys,

Today I want to share about how to fix a freezing Mozilla Firefox browser.

Before I start, I would like to list down the symptom of this problem.
a) Whenever I open Mozilla, and surfing no matter in web full with java things or the
plain google search, I will experience sudden freeze. But it only freeze for
5-10second then it will be fine again.

b) When Mozilla Freeze, and I try to click around, the browser window will become
white(still can't read the words on the browser) and it will say
(not responding). I just wait for 5-10 second then the freezing will go away.

c) Lately, the freezing keep increasing in frequency. Within 3-5minutes surfing, the
freezing will haunt me.

If you have the same problem as I did, then this post may be able to help you.

Note : I already try below method ;

1) Uninstall/Reinstall but no luck.
2) Clearing Cache
3) Clearing all bookmark

But, the problem still persist.
